We are proud to announce our participation in the Creative Europe project «Sanctuaries: Tracing Peace and Community through Art» — a transnational cultural initiative exploring themes of refuge, memory, belonging and community through photography, poetry, music and performance.
The project brings together civil society organisations, artists and communities from Greece, Poland and Serbia to co-create artistic works and public events that give voice to migrants, refugees and other marginalised communities, and highlight their lived experiences.
Through workshops, exhibitions, performances and digital storytelling, «Sanctuaries» aims to transform public and symbolic spaces into places of dialogue, creativity and inclusion. The project places particular focus on the experiences and creative leadership of women, youth and displaced communities, fostering intercultural understanding and social cohesion across Europe.
The project is coordinated by the Migrant Women's Network „Melissa” in Greece and carried out together with partners and affiliated cultural organisations across Europe, including the world-renowned agency „Magnum Photos”.
